Delivery & Shipping
 
Delivery is via either Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery, Royal Mail Special Delivery or Royal Mail Standard Delivery depending upon the weight and value of the item.  We reserve the right to use whatever shipping method is most appropriate and for operational reasons.  If you require a particular type of shipping method please email us with your request and we will provide you with a quotation for that shipping method which may incur an extra charge. 
 
Please note that if an item is posted/shipped via Special Delivery this does not necessarily mean that you will receive the item the day after you order it due to operational reasons such as order receipt times, postal collection etc.  Orders are dispatched within two working days and Special Delivery postage methods are used to ensure adequate insurance and safe keeping of the item and not for speed of delivery.  However, in practice most orders are dispatched as soon as possible after receipt of the order and usually the same day.
 
The delivery/shipping cost is automatically calculated at the point of checkout in accordance with the weight and/or value of the item being bought.  For your protection we do not offer a choice of delivery/shipping in order to ensure adequate insurance and/or tracking for the item bought.
 
Please note that we cannot guarantee Royal Mail delivery times which are beyond our control.  However, Royal Mail advise that First Class Recorded Delivery takes between one and three days.  When we dispatch an item via Royal Mail Special Delivery this should arrive the next day but the acutual time of delivery is not specified.
 
All international orders are shipped with signature on arrival and insurance only.
 
Any customs or tax liability for any products bought and sent overseas are the responsibility of the customer and we would advise all customers to check with the appropriate authority prior to purchase.
 
Unfortunately, if you are unable to accept delivery of the item and it is returned to us we will have to charge for re-delivery.
 
Free Shipping Offers
 
Free shipping offers apply to UK mainland only and NOT overseas shipping.  Overseas shipping will incur a shipping charge which will be invoiced separately after receipt of your order.
 
We reserve the right to use whatever shipping/postage method we choose for any products which are offered under our free shipping offer which may be standard Royal Mail postage and not recorded or special delivery.  Therefore if time is of the essence we recommed that you contact us and we can quote you for special delivery.
 
Free shipping offer only applies to single or multiple sales of items shipped to one address.  Shipping to more than one address will incur shipping/postage charges at our standard rates.
 
Please note that any items sent under a free shipping/free delivery offer will incur a shipping/delivery charge where that item is subsequently returned to us for a refund of the purchase price.
 
General
 
Our website stock is completely separate from the stock that we hold in our shops and for that reason it is not possible to see or view our website stock prior to purchase on the internet.
 
As our website stock is held in our warehouse facilities our shop staff are unable to answer specific questions about the details of individual website stock items.  If you have a question or query about an item of stock on this website please email us and we will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible, excluding weekends and UK bank holidays.
 
Unfortunately, the stock in our shops is not available for purchase over the internet and cannot be paid for over the phone - even more reason to visit one of our lovely stores now!
 
Please note that an order is only placed and accepted by us when we have received your confirmed payment in full, including shipping where appropriate.  No products are held or reserved for you until receipt of full payment including shipping charges where applicable.
