Description:

A stunning vintage corseted evening outift by Elizabeth Emanuel - designer of Princess Diana's engagement and wedding dresses. This fabulous emsemble features a full length silk velvet skirt in midnight black and lined in black silk. The skirt has a kick flare at the back and is very fitted to the hips.

The corset top is mustard yellow in duchess silk satin and has two decorative straps. Boned and with a zip closure the corset top is decorated in ribbon embroidery and black beads. The matching silk velvet jacket has ruffled cuffs to the sleeves and a fabulous deep collar in duchess satin.

A stunning outift and real head turner. Part of the Emanuel 'Circus Collection'. Bears the label 'Emanuel'. A beautiful example of vintage designer couture. This gown came from the personal archive of Ms Emanuel. The perfect ball gown and an investment to be handed down.

Obviously no charge will be made for shipping/postage if the garment is not returned.

Approximately a UK size 10. Approximate measurements are: Skirt: 42" (107cm) length; 26"/27" (66/68cm) waist; Corset Top: 13" (33cm) from the top edge of the bodice to the hem; 33/34"" (83cm) Bust; Jacket: 19" (48cm) from the top edge of the jacket to the hem: 34" (86cm) Bust; 20" (51cm) sleeve length. These measurements were taken edge to edge, externally and so there is some flexibility as to fit according to individual taste as to snugness of fit.

Condition:

Good - there are a couple of faintish dark marks on the bodice which may be the result of the dress being changed quickly in the frenzy of backstage fashion shows (these dresses were all catwalk modelled). The ruffles to the cuffs of the jacket are also a little 'dusty' probably from storage. Both should clean out with specialist cleaning.
