A really beautiful cream colour Ermine fur swing jacket/opera sleeved cape lined in black silk. This is such an elegant and sophisticated jacket in a truely regal fur which is rich, luxurious and buttersoft. Rich, creamy tones contrasted with a black silk lining. Perfectly cut and expertly made to provide swing and drape in all the right places. Versatile collar that can be worn up or down and one concealed inner pocket in the lining. Discreet embroidered initials inside 'DG'. A beautiful item perfect for a wedding or extra special occasion.

Size:

Almost 'one size fits all' due to the draped and loose nature of this garment.

Approximate measurements are: length from top of collar to hem at back: 30" (76 cm), length from top of collar to hem at front: 25" (64cm), width from one cuff edge up across the shoulders to the other cuff: 50" (128 cm), length of arm from cuff up to collar edge at shoulder : 22" (56cm), bottom sweep: 64" (160 cm), circumference of cuff: 24" (60 cm)

Colour:

Cream and displaying slightly varying tones in different light and when brushed against the nap.

Material:

Real Ermine Fur.

Age:

C1950 - could be earlier.

Condition:

Very good - one or two very small areas (less than 1") of the fur are very, very slightly darker perhaps due to having a drink or liquid spilt but really hardly noticeable and very probably easily specialist cleaned or even just brushed but again not really noticeable due to the nap of the fur which changes when brushed anyway.
